Meet Nikoline Svenningsen
My work explores the intersections between the science of Clinical Psychology, the vast and beautiful landscape of the relational body, and how we can meet ourselves with greater presence, curiosity, and grace through spirit.
I am a trained Aut. Psychologist & embodiment facilitator as well as being a movement & yoga teacher. I have long been interested in themes such as love, death, and sexuality, as well as the fears and anxieties that can arise when we step into our lives with greater ownership, sense of responsibility and honesty.
I draw on neuroscientific knowledge and evidence-based Clinical Psychology, and integrate this with somatic approaches and—when meaningful to you—more contemplative or esoteric practices to support a deeper connection with body, mind, and spirit.
Presence, movement, and heartfelt inquiry, alongside evidence-based psychotherapy, form the foundation of my work.
A Walk of Life
As a human being, I have walked this path myself. Through personal experience, as well as many years of therapy, workshops, trainings, and spiritual practice, I have cultivated both insight and compassion for the many turns life can take. I continue to develop my skills and deepen my work through daily practice, further education, personal therapy, supervision, collegial support, and ongoing training. For me, life is an endless adventure of curiosity and discovery.
About My Work
As an authorised psychologist and therapist, I am dedicated to guiding individuals and couples on a journey of self-discovery, authentic connection, and wholehearted presence. I believe that true transformation arises when we integrate mind, body, and—when meaningful to you—spirit. My work is grounded in evidence-based methods and infused with curiosity, compassion, humour, and playfulness.
As an authorised psychologist, family advisor, and couples counsellor, I have worked with people from many different walks of life and across a wide range of challenges. Again and again, I am touched by how much we share as human beings, and by how deeply we need to be witnessed, mirrored and gently challenged in order to grow in trust, love, and courage. We all need support at different stages of life—we all have our rough patches.

Therapeutic Approach
I am trained in a range of psychological modalities and begin by supporting you in clarifying the intention and direction of your therapy.
From there, I draw eclectically on relevant approaches, including:
ISP (Integral Somatic Psychology)
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
Existential Therapy (e.g. Irvin Yalom)
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy for individuals and couples)
Mindfulness-based approaches
NET (Narrative Exposure Therapy)
Writing therapy
Nature-based therapy
When relevant, I also incorporate gentle movement and body-based practices to support the therapeutic process.
My work is grounded in both psychological understanding and embodied awareness. Together, we work with what is present—at a pace that supports safety, depth, and integration. With a gentle and attentive approach, we explore patterns such as shame, disconnection, or emotional overwhelm, while strengthening your capacity to stay present with your experience.
Over time, this work can support a deeper sense of trust in yourself, greater emotional resilience, and a more authentic and connected way of being.
Workshops approach
Drawing on my background as an ISP (Integral Somatic Psychology) practitioner and a Yoga Alliance–certified teacher, trained in Authentic Flow, Embodied Yin, and Embodied Tantra—and over 15 years of personal practice—I weave together elements of yoga, neuroscience, and psychology into an experiential and explorative space.
My workshops offer a safe, sacred and intentional space for connection, intimacy, community, and playful exploration. They invite you into deeper contact with yourself and others, and support the development of emotional awareness, authenticity, and inner resourcefulness.
Through the courageous act of showing up fully, we reconnect with a deeper sense of aliveness, radiance, and belonging.
Through somatic practices, we cultivate a sense of safety and create space for what is present to emerge—allowing emotions to be felt, expressed, and integrated. By sharing our bodies and stories in community, we open to a deeper sense of belonging, vitality, and the simple joy of being alive.
Come and play, and allow yourself to be surprised by the beauty and wildness you carry within.
You are invited to explore workshops such as:
Surrendering into love - A workshop for couples wanting more embodied connection, love and playfullness
Primal Play — reconnecting with instinct, expression, and aliveness
Authentic Movement & Connection — deep listening and embodied awareness
Chakra-based Movement & Dance — exploring energy, emotion, and flow
These practices support you in reconnecting with your body’s wisdom and your innate sense of safety and belonging
All ages and backgrounds are welcome—no prior experience is needed.
No matter what has brought you here, I want to honour your curiosity and courage in taking this step.
You are always welcome to book a discovery call with me. Just text "discovery call" to: +45 61 71 78 64, and I will get back to you as fast as I can.

Common Questions
Who can I book?
You can book sessions with me as a psychologist, embodiment facilitator, or counselor.
What is embodiment?
Embodiment is the ability to tuning into your body’s primal instincts and wisdom through attention, movement, intention and stillness. Its a way of connecting to that, that connects you to all else: the body. So to embody, is for many people a notion of coming home to oneself. And in return a new connection to aliveness, play, creativity, sexuality and spirituality may come online.
How do sessions usually work?
Sessions blend body, soul, and mind using evidence-based methods, movement, voice, and athentic presence.
Do you offer couples counseling?
Yes, I guide couples to reconnect and deepen their relationship through holistic approaches.
Can I discuss sexological issues?
Absolutely, I provide guidance and support around sexological concerns in a safe space.
How do I prepare for a session?
Come as you are, open to presence and exploration; no special preparation is needed beforehand.
But be aware that therapy is work - but the most rewarding kind of it. It can be helpfull to many to take a break for yourself afterwards. Integration is important.
